CS:GO Glove Case is the First Look at New Glove Skins with More Great Weapon Skins

Glove Case Introduces Glove Skins to CS:GO Players

The early years of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive offered players frequent updates and multiple weapon cases per year. With six cases released in 2013 and 2014, followed by five cases in 2015, some players began to wonder if 2016 would give them another case. Then, on November 28, 2016, an update did just that. Maps were adjusted, bugs were fixed, and the Glove Case was released.

While the game frequently received updates, the ones that came with major changes or cases were the most exciting. And the Glove Case was no exception. Yet there was something unique about this case. For the first time in CS:GO history, the ultra-rare items in the case were gloves.

Inspecting the Glove Case

This late-2016 case release was exciting for gamers around the world. For the first time in CS:GO they had a chance to get a skin that visually changed the gloves their character was wearing. These exceedingly rare items are similar to skins in the way that they do not enhance actual gameplay mechanics but are instead a way for players to customize their characters to match their aesthetics. And, despite its name, the Glove Case also included another set of weapons skins. With the Glove Case Key, players would have a chance to receive gloves or one of the incredible skin designs inside.

What’s Inside the CS:GO Glove Case?

Seventeen community-created weapons along with an incredible 24 gloves can be found inside the CS:GO Glove Case. The gloves that were introduced to the game for the first time included: Bloodhound Gloves, Driver Gloves, Hand Wraps, Moto Gloves, Specialist Gloves, and Sport Gloves. Market Demand and Rarity

The Glove Case currently exists in the rare case pool. The initial price spike for the Glove Case on release day hit a peak of $8.16. However, it wasn’t long before players could purchase the case for as little as $0.03. In the spring and summer of 2020, the Glove Case started a slow and steady trek to higher prices. By January 2022, the case was reaching the $2 range. In March 2023, the price reached $4 and didn’t look back. Since then, Glove Case prices have bounced around between $4 and $6 for the most part.

Both the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case with the same set of gloves are hanging comfortably in the rare pool. However, limited availability for the Hydra Case has caused prices to soar to around $25 per case. So, for players wanting to purchase cases in hopes of getting one of the incredible glove skins, the Glove Case is likely the better purchase. But as both are still capable of dropping in-game, farming cases by leveling up every week with Prime status may save players some money.

The actual weapon skins from the Glove Case are typically $50 or less with a few exceptions. The first is a Factory New StatTrak M4A4 Buzz Kill listed for a price of about $115. From there, various versions of Dragonfire, Buzz Kill, Mecha Industries, Shallow Grave, and Wasteland Princess dominate all price levels above $20.

Pricing on the gloves dropped from the case is much more impressive. Factory New Moto Gloves in Boom! come in at the top at a price point of nearly $2,000. Next on the list of high-priced gloves are the Specialist Gloves with the Foundation skin at around $1,500. Working down the list players will also see Specialist Gloves in Crimson Kimono, Bloodhound Gloves in Bronzed, Moto Gloves in Cool Mint, as well as others all priced well over $1,000.

Get Your CS:GO Glove Case

For players who are reluctant to drop their hard-earned money on cases and skins, leveling up each week with Prime Status could grant them a chance to receive this coveted case. For others who don’t mind spending a few bucks on a case here and there, the Glove Case comes in at a lower price point than the Operation Hydra Case. But if it’s weapon skins you’re after then you might be better off purchasing and trading as there’s a good chance you may not get the Glove Case drop in the first few weeks of trying. No matter your case and skin-acquiring method, have fun and enjoy all that CS:GO has to offer.
