CS:GO Fracture Case: A Second Chance for the Shattered Web Knife Collection

The Fracture Case Delivers with Highly Anticipated CS:GO Skins
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a continuously evolving game. However, some things don’t always go to plan. Thankfully, the folks at Valve are happy to fix any problems that arise and toss in a weapons case from time to time. On August 6, 2020, about five months after the release of the Prisma 2 Case, Valve updated CS:GO to fix some issues with a few maps and optimize them for better gameplay. These included Anubis, Mutiny, and Swamp. In addition, they released the Fracture Case.
The CS:GO community was all too happy to have another case at their disposal. Known for having a thriving economy, CS:GO releases weapons cases a few times a year featuring new weapons skins as well as rare items. The release of the Fracture Case was no different and players welcomed it with open arms.
Revealing the CS:GO Fracture Case
The Fracture Case included 17 community-designed skins. There was no central theme in this case and as a result, each of the skins has its own unique look. In addition to the highly sought-after weapon skins, the case also included 52 knives. While these knife skins were not new, they were a repeat of the knives of the Shattered Web Case, a part of Operation Shattered Web which ended on March 30, 2020. This gave players another chance to get the coveted knife skins.
What’s Inside the CS:GO Fracture Case?

Market Demand and Rarity
The market demand for the Fracture Case itself is rather low. Purchasing it through the Steam Community Market will cost you less than $1. This is, of course, because the case is still in the Prime drop pool. This is the primary pool cases drop from when a Prime Status member levels up each week. This means that it isn’t necessarily too difficult to get the case in-game, so people aren’t horribly considered about purchasing it elsewhere. Once the case becomes more difficult to get, then it’s likely the Fracture Case will follow suit with the cases that came before it that became rarer or were discontinued entirely.
Regarding the contents of the Fracture Case, there are some drops that stand out when it comes to market value. For example, a Battle-Scarred version of the Crimson Web Skeleton Knife is currently listed for over $2,000 on the Steam Community Market. A Factory New version of the Scorched Skeleton Knife is also listed for over $1,700. As we continue to move down the list we see additional occurrences of the Crimson Web Skeleton Knife sitting comfortably above the $1,500 mark. Versions of the Nomad Knife start showing up just below the $1,400 mark. With so many in the top 100 knife listings, it’s no surprise that CS:GO players were happy to see this knife collection again.
Skins in the Fracture Case aren’t priced with quite the same ambition, yet the Desert Eagle Printstream dominates all spots over $100. However, if the time comes that Valve decides to move the case to the rare drop pool or discontinue it completely, there’s a chance values on the case itself and the weapons skins will continue to increase. As always, collect those cases and skins because you’ll never know what the CS:GO market will do next.
