Falchion Case Adds Falchion Knife Drop to Operation Bloodhound
Operations are a great way to keep content in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fresh and keep players engaged. Each operation typically brings new maps, updates, and one or more weapons case full of new skins for the eager CS:GO community. Operation Bloodhound launched in May of 2015 and would run through the end of September. Players in this online first-person shooter would get to experience two new campaigns with over sixty-two missions, six community maps, and so much more. However, one thing was different with Operation Bloodhound. The case released with the operation wasn’t named for the operation itself. Instead, the Operation Bloodhound Case was named the Falchion Case.
Examining the Falchion Case
At its release, the Falchion Case was an exclusive drop for Operation Bloodhound pass holders. Rather than being named after the operation, the case was named after the case-exclusive Falchion Knife. Released on May 26, 2015, the Falchion Case was the 15th case in CS:GO. It would begin as an exclusive drop then was moved to the rare prize pool after Operation Bloodhound ended on September 30, 2015. At that time the case became available to all players.
What’s Inside the CS:GO Falchion Case?
Inside, players would find 16 weapon skins and the Falchion Knife. While many of the skins received positive feedback from the CS:GO community, not all were welcomed with enthusiasm. The skins for the AK-47 and the AWP quickly rose to fame for being favored by professional players. As float value increases, the details of the artwork fall away, eventually leaving just the creature at the highest float values. Another gun, the Loudmouth skin for the Negev features several unique characteristics including a float cap that makes it unavailable in Factory New condition, a smiley face that’s visible only while reloading, and the word “Run” on the front side of the magazine. Other skins in the Falchion Case include:
- Mil-Spec
- Galil AR | Rocket Pop
- Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner
- Nova | Ranger
- P90 | Elite Build
- UMP-45 | Riot
- USP-S | Torque

The case also introduced the Falchion Knife to CS:GO. These knives are available in the Arms Deal finishes. It would take nearly two years before the knife was featured again, this time in the Spectrum and Spectrum 2 Cases in Chroma finishes. In 2021, it would be featured for a third time with Gamma finishes for the Operation Riptide Case. The full list of skins for the Falchion Case knives includes:

Market Demand and Rarity
The Falchion Case is currently part of the rare drop pool, meaning it drops in-game less than 1% of the time when a Prime Status player accomplishes their weekly level-up. Prior to entering the rare drop pool, it was exclusive to Operation Bloodhound pass holders. Now, with fewer than 35,000 listings on the Steam Community Market, players can also purchase the case for less than $2. This is a 2023 increase up from the $0.30 average price of 2022.
When it comes to the skins in the Falchion Case, the knives lead the pack with the most valuable versions being Case Hardened and Fade, which price out at right around $700. From there, the Crimson Web and Slaughter finishes hit at about $450. Following, the list continues with Forest DDPAT, Boreal Forest, and others.
Players will start noticing the other skins coming into play with the AK-47 Aquamarine Revenge skin with StatTrak in Factory New condition at about $430. The AWP Hyper Beast is next on the list at a price of just below $400.
While both the Falchion Knife finishes and Shadow Dagger finishes aren’t as popular or as valuable as other knife skins, they do still have the potential to sell for a great price. If a player is after a higher-priced knife then it may be best to see which cases contain the knifes they’re after as the drop rate on a knife is extremely low in all instances. Combined with the fact that the case itself is a rare in-game drop, farming cases to get these knives may be a fruitless effort. Instead, it may be better to acquire the case or skins in other ways.
Get Your CS:GO Falchion Case
With a low price point and a much lower drop rate, if a collector or investor is in the market for the Falchion Case then it may save both time and effort to simply purchase or trade for it. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the prices on all cases have been increasing since spring 2023 so there’s a possibility that the case may not be available at its low price point for much longer.
If players or collectors are seeking out skins instead, purchasing or trading for the skin may be a better option than trying to open cases. However, the thrill of seeing a rare case drop in-game, or an ultra-rare skin is what drives many people to continue to play CS:GO. Whatever your preferred method of acquiring cases and skins, have fun and good luck!
