CS:GO Clutch Case | Offering 24 New Glove Finishes in 2018
7/23/2023

The CS:GO Clutch Case:
In February of 2018, an update featuring bug fixes and the Community Capsule 2018 with 8 community-created stickers along with the ever-popular Clutch Case became a reality. The thrill of new skins and stickers was amplified with the case’s 24 new glove finishes. Players across the globe scrambled to grab these coveted cases despite case prices spiking to almost $9. It’s clear the community was eager for this case and what they could possibly find inside.
However, this release was not without a tiny bit of drama. The case’s contents were leaked pre-release due to a problem with the Steam workshop. Normal users were able to see skins with admin-only tags and it didn’t take long before an unauthorized sneak peek made its way around the community. Much to the dismay of people who don’t like to wait, the bug was fixed, and users can no longer see items in upcoming cases.
Revealing the CS:GO Clutch Case
Players need both the Clutch Case and a Clutch Case Key to be able to access the contents inside. There they’ll find 17 community-developed weapon finishes along with a total of 24 new glove skins. With glove designs covering the span of Duct Tape to Omega, and some of the most popular weapon skins in the game, there’s something for every player in this weapons case. No matter their aesthetic or preferences they’re sure to find something they love in the Clutch Case.
What’s Inside the CS:GO Clutch Case?
The first of three 2018 cases, the CS:GO Clutch Case features a colorful variety of weapon skins in a variety of detailed patterns. Some of the skins even have a little something extra for players. For example, the SWAG-7 skin is a nod to the in-game nickname for the MAG-7. And the Moonrise skin for the Glock-18 has a chance of featuring a star, similar to Moonrise for the UMP-45. Market Demand and Rarity
The current cost of the Clutch Case on the Steam Community Market is less than $1 with over 185,000 listings. The case has yet to be discontinued, which means it’s still possible for players to be awarded the case with their Prime status weekly level-up. That combined with the number of listings indicates that it may still be a while before prices rise again. However, viewing the lifetime history of the case price, it may be on the rise. Only time will tell if the case increases in value.
Out of the Clutch Case skins, the only one listed above $100 is the Factory New StatTrak version of Neo-Noir for the M4A4. A handful of other skins from the case occupy the space between $10 and $50, making them affordable for many players who have been otherwise unable to obtain them through opening cases.
It seems as though most of the Clutch Case value for investors is in Clutch Gloves. Topping the charts of overall glove prices are the Minimal Wear Specialist Gloves in Fade coming in at just under $2,000. Following close behind are the Moto Gloves in a Factory New Polygon finish, Well-Worn Vice Sports Gloves, Factory New Mogul Specialist Gloves, and Factory New Overtake Driver Gloves, all hitting marks above $1,500. While gloves may be the hot ticket item now, that doesn’t mean the other skins and the case itself won’t increase in value in the future.
Get Your CS:GO Clutch Case
It’s currently still possible to grab this case in-game. While it was part of the Prime drop pool, it seems as though the Clutch Case may have joined the ranks of the rare drop pool. This would be fitting due to the recent addition of the Revolution Case featuring the same gloves.
Whether you’re a collector or just after some of the incredible skins found within the case, it seems like there’s still plenty of time to grab the case itself through either in-game drops, purchases, or trades. Likewise, skins in this case are still reasonably priced for the most part, so if there’s something you’ve had your eye on, you might want to think about if this is the right time to get it or not.
